Katy: What does the law say about observing my child in the class, in a private school? Do I have the right to observe my child? Does the school have the right to say no? We live in Ohio.

Also, is this a long term school for your child? You want to work with the school and have them work with you. If it becomes a battle, is this the right placement for your child? The beauty of private schools is that there are a lot of benefits but also a lot of ways to navigate and sometimes not easy. If your child is having issues and the teachers are concerned, your observations may serve as parental notes to them. What is your goal of observing and how will such aide in the progress of your child and the support of the teacher(s)?
