Mia: My son is 3, and my husband is a minister, so we have been taking Fridays off as a family day. We want to continue this until our son starts grade school, but i feel like we are being bullied into a 5-day school week and it is too much for all of us. He has Down Syndrome, but has been offered a full inclusion class with Speech Therapy. All we want is Fridays off, why is that such a headache?
I would suggest that you ask the school to give your child his needed speech therapy on any day except for Friday. Then, do what you wish on Fridays.
