  1. An advocate is insisting that the school write into the IEP services section that they will provide daily behavior log to parents via email at the end of the school day. The school has placed it in the informing parent of student progress section of the IEP and documented it in the notes, indicating it is not a service, but agreeing to prove it daily. However, the advocate says it is not in the IEP unless it is in the services section
Does this provision of daily behavior log provided to parents need to go into the services section?

  2. I am having trouble accessing the Video Trainings. They mention on the link they are revising videos. Does anyone have any idea of when the training will be available for purchase again?

Note: April 1, 2023 – We are making significant revisions to our website and our online store. If you arrived at this page while visiting our store, then the item you are seeking has been removed from the store and a description is not available. We are replacing some of the training modules, videos, with new, more current versions to be compatible with our new Third Edition of the Law Book. As a part of the store restructuring, the special discount programs for students and the military have also been removed.

    • Jessica, I don’t know.

Pete and Pam Wright write books, write articles for the website, publish the weekly newsletter. Pete does live and Zoom training programs and creates the

videos. We just finished the new book, Wrightslaw; Special Education Law, 3rd edition that was published in April, 2023.

We need a break to rest, recover and spend time with our families. I expect new video training may be available in the Fall, but I can’t say that with 100% certainty.

  3. I need some answers about a concern I have at my child’s school. What are my rights as a parent to transfer her to a different school, without moving. She being target and mistreated by principal at this particular school.
Please advise: This school is in SC

  4. Hi Casey, The Institute of Special Education Advocacy (ISEA) at William & Mary Law School will not be held this year. The law school had staff turnover that affected its ability to host the program. Fingers crosssed for next year.

  5. I cannot find any updated information regarding the Wrights’ Law certificate program offered through William and Mary College. The most recent info I can find is regarding the 2019 or 2020 program as being cancelled. Does anyone know anything about this? Will it be offered this year?
