Michelle:  Can a substitute teacher replace a special education teacher for the remainder of the school year? We live in Missouri.

I live in CT. and I would like to know what are the legal limitations for a long term substitute in special education. I’ll be working with grades 1-5.

This depends on the state’s rules. You can check with the state education agency or state parent training & information center (see State PTIs on this home page).
