Jackie: Seat Belt Harness used to restrain my son in school (not the bus) To make him walk down the hallway. I have no problems at home. I also would like to know why a school would only allow my Autistic son to go to school an hour and half? I disagreed. He is loosing education. The IEP’S are done as meetings. They write in his school book. They want to do am hour and half again this September and I did not agree and they didn’t care. Please help. Disabled Veteran. I am holding back not screaming at them. School year 2016- ESY (Summer hour and 15 mins)
I suggest that you contact your state parent training & information center. http://www.parentcenterhub.org/find-your-center/ They will have knowledge of your state rules regarding restraint, & amount of time at school.
