Lisa: Can the public school system in NYC demand a parent sit with their child for a few days or they can’t return to school?
I have never heard of a school district demanding but I have been in meetings (CA) were it is suggested that the parent sit in and observe to help in prepare a behavioral plan (for advisement) to see what can be done to alleviate anxiety/triggers or stress the child is having at school.
