My son has high functioning autism.  He is a middle schooler, reading 2 years below grade level. He has difficulty in comprehension and inferencing, but not decoding.  The school uses the Jamestown Reading Navigator.  Is this an effective program? If you have a child who is  receiving “special education” reading instruction, you need information to participate in writing an appropriate IEP. This information could also help when you work with your child at home. Find what questions to ask and a user-friendly form to record your answers.
