Observation: OBSERVING YOUR CHILD IN THE CLASS

Kris:  Is it okay for a charter school to say you can only observe in the class by following their volunteer fingerprinting guidelines for their district and not give you observation policy if you were fingerprinted in the District that houses the charter school?

  1. As far as I am aware you only need to be finger printed if you are working directly with students. If a public speaker was coming to the school to do a speech and wanted to visit the children in the classroom would they have to be fingerprinted as well? That doesn’t make any sense.

  2. I didn’t quite follow that. I would have thought that if you have already been fingerprinted by the state troopers, then you’d be good for any fingerprinting requirements anyone might have.
