Dyslexia: HOW DO YOU DESCRIBE DYSLEXIA TO A SCHOOL ADMINISTRATOR?

John:  This may sound like a dumb question. I am trying to get a school within a school program started in a traditional private school, and in the phase of pitching the idea to board members. I have written most of the letter, but am stuck on the paragraph where I would like to describe dyslexia in lay mans terms as something that is common, does not reflect on intelligence, show in a positive light how it affects those in high school and reveal how there students are helped with evidence based programs specifically for dyslexia – and maybe how that might benefit the school as a whole.
