Day 1 - Wrightslaw Special Education Law and Advocacy Conference, a Wrightslaw training program featuring Pete Wright, Esq., is being sponsored by Meier & Barlow Law Firm. A full-day training focused on real-world application of the law, negotiation strategies, productive conflict, inclusion, data-driven decision-making, and empowering parents and caregivers to participate.

Program Description
The Wrightslaw One-day special education law and advocacy programs focus on four areas:
- special education law, rights and responsibilities
- tests and measurements to measure progress & regression
- SMART IEPs
- introduction to tactics & strategies for effective advocacy
Wrightslaw programs are designed to meet the needs of parents, educators, health care providers, advocates and attorneys who represent children with disabilities regarding special education. The program is not disability specific.

Day 1 - Attendee receives a hot lunch by BB Riverboats, a Wrightslaw highlighter pen, three Wrightslaw books - Wrightslaw: Special Education Law, 3rd Ed., Wrightslaw: From Emotions to Advocacy, 2nd Ed., and Wrightslaw: All About IEPs provided the morning of the conference. Wrightslaw will provide the three books to the attendee in the adobe.pdf format as well. The three print and PDF books retail for $113.60.
Day 2 - Attendee receives a hot lunch by BB Riverboats, The Collaborative IEP: What to Say, What to Do, What Matters book, by Ashley Barlow, Esq. Retail value $59. Check out the agenda.

Credits: Delta State University approved both programs for 0.6 CEU's (continuing education units). The Supreme Court of Ohio approved 6.0 CLE (continuing legal education) credits for the June 25th Wrightslaw training. The June 26th training is pending in OH. KY CLEs are pending for both programs.
Scholarships: A limited number of sponsored tickets will be available for families experiencing financial hardship.
