Best School Websites

As many subscribers know, we are building a new site called FetaWeb.com as a companion site to our new book, From Emotions to Advocacy - The Special Education Survival Guide.

FetaWeb.com will allow us to add new resources and fresh information to supplement the book and advise readers of changes in the law and the book. People can visit the FetaWeb.com site to download sample worksheets, forms and letters.

For a sneak preview of FetaWeb.com visit http://www.fetaweb.com/

We need your help with the new site.

ISO - Best School Sites for fetaweb.com

We are searching for excellent school district sites.

To qualify as a "Best School Site," the site must help parents and others advocate for children with disabilities by providing sample forms, worksheets, and accurate, useful information about special education.
Sample forms may include:

* Eligibility Determination Forms
* IEPs
* Functional Behavioral Assessments
* Behavior Intervention Plans

The new FetaWeb site will include a directory of "Best School Sites."

To Nominate a Site

To nominate a "Best School Site," please send an email to

In the SUBJECT LINE of your email, type the 2 letter identifier for the state (CA, NY, MN) and the words BEST SCHOOL SITE

Example: TX BEST SCHOOL SITE or AZ BEST SCHOOL SITE

In the FIRST LINE of your email, type the link or URL of the site you nominate. Your link should look similar to this:

http://www.schooldistrict.k12.state.us/xxx.html

Please do not send the school district web page as an attachment. We receive so many viruses that we DELETE all emails with attachments.

Please include two or three sentences that explain your reasons for nominating this site -- why this site qualifies as a BEST SCHOOL SITE.

For example, you may nominate a site because:

* it provides sample forms that you can download, print and study
* it offers practical advice about how to prepare for meetings
* it is easy to navigate (user-friendly)

If you nominate more than one BEST SCHOOL SITE, please send each nomination in a separate email.

You may choose to answer these questions:

* Do you work for the school district?

* Does your child attend a school in this district?
