| We Need Your Help with Two Questions 1. Shipping Time We are testing a new shipping method and need help to track days in transit. When your book arrives, please note the shipping date (the postmark on the envelope) and the date you received the book. How many days was the book in transit? In the subject line of an email, write your Zip code – Number of days. Example: Assume you live in Los Angeles and your zip code is 90066. The postmark says the book was shipped on December 1. You received it on December 4. Type this information in the Subject line of your email: 90066 - 3 days Send your email to mediamail@wrightslaw.com 2. New Wrightslaw Training Programs Many people have requested advanced training, beyond the one-day, six-hour, Special Education Law and Advocacy programs. We plan to offer advanced training in selected areas. To facilitate travel, we are looking at venues near airport hubs. The first new training program is All About IEPs. The program (one day, 5 hours) will focus on the legal requirements for IEPs. Participants will learn how to draft SMART IEPs - IEPs that are Specific, Measurable, use Action Words, are Realistic, and Time specific, and how to use an effective team approach to crafting legally sufficient IEPs. In All About IEPs programs, we will use two books, Wrightslaw: All About IEPs and From Emotions to Advocacy as the texts.
The first All About IEPs program will be held in Florida in mid-January 2010. The speaker will be Pete Wright. We will post more information about this program the Schedule page soon. |
