Despite her allowance for extended testing time she has been denied both by the ACT and the SAT testing organizations.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>Review the ACT and SAT Requirements<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The ACT requires a \u201cprofessionally diagnosed condition, appropriate documentation on file at school, and extended time used on tests in school due to disability\u201d. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.actstudent.org\/regist\/disab\/chart.html\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">http:\/\/www.actstudent.org\/regist\/disab\/chart.html<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The SAT required documentation is listed on page 2 of this list of instructions for the application for accommodations form. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.collegeboard.com\/prod_downloads\/ssd\/eligibility_form_instructions.pdf\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">http:\/\/www.collegeboard.com\/prod_downloads\/ssd\/eligibility_form_instructions.pdf<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The full information about applying for accommodations on the SAT is here. <a href=\"http:\/\/professionals.collegeboard.com\/testing\/ssd\/application\/apply\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">http:\/\/professionals.collegeboard.com\/testing\/ssd\/application\/apply<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Print out the information from these websites and look it over.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Meet with the Guidance Counselor<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you do not readily see what is missing from your daughter\u2019s application for accommodations, sit down with the guidance counselor (or the person at the school who monitors the 504 plans).
