This will help others find information and answers quickly. See some examples below.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>SPECIFIC LEARNING DISABILITY:<br \/>\nI\u2019m being told that dyslexia is a reading disability and not considered a specific learning disability. Is this correct?<\/p>\n<p>SPECIFIC LEARNING DISABILITY:<br \/>\nRead the definition of &#8220;specific learning disability&#8221; in the<br \/>\nIndividuals with Disabilities Education Act &#8211; 20 U.S.C. 1401(30).<br \/>\n(A) In General. The term specific learning disability means a disorder in 1 or more of the basic psychological processes involved in understanding or in using language, spoken or written, which disorder may manifest itself in the imperfect ability to listen, think, speak, read, write, spell, or do mathematical calculations.<br \/>\n(B) Disorders Included. Such term includes such conditions as perceptual disabilities, brain injury, minimal brain dysfunction, dyslexia, and developmental aphasia.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Please use only your first name when commenting.
