The program is open to the public.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The focus is on children with disabilities who are involved in the juvenile justice system. Pete worked in Virginia&#8217;s juvenile justice system for 10 years before law school. He worked as a houseparent in a juvenile training school. Later, Pete worked as a juvenile probation officer in Richmond, VA. His caseload included children who had committed major felonies. As an attorney, Pete represented children with disabilities in juvenile court and in special education due process hearings.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.trtcle.com\/teleconferences-cle\/ny\/6299\/special-education-and-juvenile-justice\">The two-hour training program is open to the public. CLE credits (2.0) are approved in more than 20 states, including California and New York. CLEs are pending in other states.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.trtcle.com\/teleconferences-cle\/ak\/5555\/children-with-disabilities-and-special-education-law\">Pete presented a program for TRT CLE about &#8220;Children with Disabilities and Special Education Law&#8221; in January 2024. This program is available <\/a>as a 24\/7 download. (2.0 CLE credits) The August 22 training will be available to download in the future. The cost of each training session is $99.00.
