Seats are filling up!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This Wrightslaw Special Education Law and Advocacy Conference, a Wrightslaw training program featuring <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wrightslaw.com\/speak\/23.09.tx.htm\">Wayne Steedman, Esq<\/a>., is being sponsored by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.downsyndromedallas.org\/\">Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The program will be held at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irvingtexas.com\/convention-center\/\">Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas<\/a> in the town of Irving, TX.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Program Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The One-day special education law and advocacy programs will focus on four areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>special education law, rights and responsibilities<\/li>\n<li>tests and measurements to measure progress &amp; regression<\/li>\n<li>SMART IEPs<\/li>\n<li>introduction to tactics &amp; strategies for effective advocacy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Registration: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Regular Individual &#8211; $95<br \/>\nRegular Professional (includes CLE\/CEU) $120<\/p>\n<p>Conference fee includes coffee, water and tea along with assorted mini pastries and fruit, boxed lunch, gluten free boxed lunch or vegetarian boxed lunch, refreshments, a Wrightslaw highlighter pen, three Wrightslaw books &#8211;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wrightslaw.com\/bks\/selaw3\/selaw3.htm\"> Wrightslaw: Special Education Law, 3rd Ed.<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wrightslaw.com\/bks\/feta2\/feta2.htm\">Wrightslaw: From Emotions to Advocacy, 2nd Ed<\/a>., and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wrightslaw.com\/bks\/aaiep\/index.htm\">Wrightslaw: All About IEPs<\/a> provided the morning of the conference and then, within a week after the program, Wrightslaw will email those three books to each attendee in the adobe.pdf format.
