This program is designed to meet the needs of parents, advocates, attorneys, educators, and others who represent the interests of children with disabilities and their families.<\/p>\n<p>The full-day program focuses on four areas:<\/p>\n<p>* Special education law, rights, and responsibilities<br \/>\n* Tests and measurements to measure progress &amp; regression<br \/>\n* SMART IEPs<br \/>\n* Strategies for effective advocacy<\/p>\n<p>Pete Wright teaches advocacy skills, offers practical solutions to parent-school problems, and answers questions from the audience.
