This special opportunity is prior to the start of the <a href=\"http:\/\/ky.dyslexiaida.org\/events\/?event_id1=23&amp;event_id2=23\">IDA Southern Region Conference.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The program will be held at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marriott.com\/hotels\/travel\/sdflm-louisville-marriott-downtown\/?scid=bb1a189a-fec3-4d19-a255-54ba596febe2\">Louisville Marriott Downtown<\/a>, located at 280 West Jefferson Street in Louisville, KY.<\/p>\n<p>The One-day special education law and advocacy programs focus on five areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>special education law, rights and responsibilities<\/li>\n<li>McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act<\/li>\n<li>tests and measurements to measure progress &amp; regression<\/li>\n<li>SMART IEPs<\/li>\n<li>introduction to tactics &amp; strategies for effective advocacy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Wrightslaw programs are designed to meet the needs of parents, educators, health care providers. advocates and attorneys who represent children with disabilities regarding special education.
