So, 612 in the Act, is copied into U.S.C. at 1412.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3.<\/strong> Go to the Act at page 89 STAT 780, under the heading &#8220;Eligibility&#8221;, then go to subsection 612(a)(2). Skim that information.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The key is on the next page<\/strong>, Subsection (a)(2)(C).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wrightslaw.com\/bks\/selaw2\/selaw2.htm\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-13179\" style=\"border: 1px solid #000000;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wrightslaw.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/selaw2.100.dpi500.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"125\" height=\"160\" \/><\/a>The statute was not labelled &#8220;Child Find&#8221; at that point, so I assume the label came later.<\/p>\n<p><strong>*4.<\/strong> Now go to our red <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wrightslaw.com\/store\/selaw2.store.html\"><span style=\"color: #0066cc;\"><em>Special Education Law<\/em> book<\/span><\/a>.
