Other proposed changes will affect procedural safeguards, eligibility criteria, definition of developmental disabilities, and accountability.<\/p>\n<p><strong>It&#8217;s time for Virginians to <\/strong><strong>get involved<\/strong>. If adopted, these changes could be a major loss in parental rights, decreasing the school-family partnership intended by IDEA.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please call, email or write, now! <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wrightslaw.com\/virginia\/regs.index.htm\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Find out when, where, how.<\/span><\/a><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Publication will initiate the 60-day public comment period, which will last from April 28, 2008 through June 30, 2008.
