Approximately 14 years ago, while employed by a Texas ISD sp ed cooperative, a soon-to-be 3 year old with an obvious cognitive and physical handicapping condition was referred by his parent 3 weeks prior to the 1st day of school. The Sp Ed Director provided me with some legal data indicating such a child may be admitted to the PPCD program and assessment conducted during the prescribed school day.<br \/>\nI had a similar situation this past summer break.
