It also prohibits the unjustified segregation of people with disabilities.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Advocates\u2026say it also will push schools to set a higher bar for the education that those students receive.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;IDEA was passed in the 1970s as a way to open the schoolhouse door to children with disabilities.
