If you want to become a good advocate, hang around with folks who do advocacy work.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>Ask Questions!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Whether you are a seasoned advocate, or new to advocacy, <em><strong>asking questions is a good strategy for identifying win-win solutions. <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Everyday, people just like you, <em><strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wrightslaw.com\/advoc\/guest\/ask.advocates.htm\">&#8220;Ask the Advocates&#8221;<\/a><\/span>.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Parents, teachers, and other advocates who want to learn how to negotiate the maze of special education, go to the\u00a0 <em>Ask the Advocates<\/em> page where experienced advocates-<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>answer your questions<\/li>\n<li>offer creative ideas<\/li>\n<li>make suggestions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wrightslaw.com\/advoc\/guest\/ask.advocates.htm\">https:\/\/www.wrightslaw.com\/advoc\/guest\/ask.advocates.htm<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>Join the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.copaa.org\/\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA)<\/span><\/a> is the national organization of attorneys, education advocates and parents.
