That\u2019s a rate about twice that of their typically-developing peers, according to data collected by the U.S. Department of Education.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In the post,<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.disabilityscoop.com\/2015\/02\/24\/students-disabilities-suspended\/20088\/\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\"> Students with Disabilities Suspended More Often<\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: #000080;\">, <span style=\"color: #000000;\">Disability Scoop<\/span><\/span> explains the new report found &#8220;significant variation in suspension rates based on race&#8221; and on where a student lives.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The high level of suspensions among students with disabilities raises questions, the report suggests, about whether such children\u00a0are unlawfully being taken out of class due to behavior issues related to their disabilities.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/civilrightsproject.ucla.edu\/resources\/projects\/center-for-civil-rights-remedies\/school-to-prison-folder\/federal-reports\/are-we-closing-the-school-discipline-gap\/AreWeClosingTheSchoolDisciplineGap_FINAL221.pdf\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Full Report<\/span> <\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/civilrightsproject.ucla.edu\/resources\/projects\/center-for-civil-rights-remedies\/school-to-prison-folder\/federal-reports\/are-we-closing-the-school-discipline-gap\/losen-are-we-closing-discipline-gap-2015-summary.pdf\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Executive Summary<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/civilrightsproject.ucla.edu\/resources\/projects\/center-for-civil-rights-remedies\/school-to-prison-folder\/federal-reports\/are-we-closing-the-school-discipline-gap\/district-profiles-ccrr-discipline.pdf\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">District Profiles<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Graduation Rates<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Also published in February 2015, USDOE press release announces <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ed.gov\/news\/press-releases\/us-high-school-graduation-rate-hits-new-record-high\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">U.S. High School Graduation Rate Hits New Record High<\/span><\/a>!
