Epstein Youth Achievement Award<\/span><\/a>. This $1,000 award recognizes the strengths and accomplishments of young people with learning disabilities and ADHD.<\/p>\n<p>The Award will be given to a student 19 or younger who has demonstrated initiative, talent and determination resulting in a notable accomplishment in any field\u2014including art, music, science, math, athletics or community service.<\/p>\n<p>Winners are nominated by a parent, teacher, mentor, coach, or self. <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Deadline!<\/strong><\/span> Applications must be submitted by <strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">December 15, 2014<\/span><\/strong>.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The award will be presented at the organization\u2019s 15th Anniversary Benefit on the evening of Saturday, March 7th in Fairfield County, CT. Transportation and hotel accommodations will be provided for the winning student and his\/her parents.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The winner of the 2014 Youth Achievement Award was Alexandra Sheridan of Marcellus, NY. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Alexandra is a Youth Ambassador for the UN, and a representative of Dr. Jane Goodall\u2019s non-profit organization, Roots &amp; Shoots.
