Krystin: School hasn’t given me renewed IEP paper work or data as requested going to be a month in two days. how long do these things normally take? I was told computers are slow. I feel like I am getting run around. I also never received incident report from June. What can I do?
Agree with Chuck. We have sample letters that parents can use on the Wrightslaw site and in the parent advocacy book, From Emotions to Advocacy.
I suggest making this request in writing to the special ed director, & give them a deadline for sending it to you. If they do not respond, you have the basis for a complaint to the state education agency. If they do not have a copy for you, then the teachers would not have a copy to follow.
