Special Factors: Behavior

My child has autism. Sometimes, he is disruptive and his behavior interferes with the other children. Must the IEP team develop a plan to address these problem behaviors?

Yes. IDEA and the federal regulations include specific requirements for IEPs of children whose behavior impedes their learning or the learning of other children.
