Eric: Can a 504 really require a teacher be made to respond to calls and emails by parents within 12 hours? Without distinction for nights, weekends, business hours?
When I objected with admin they replied that they had better lawyers than we did.

I have found that this usually occurs when the school district wants to appease the parents, and sometimes to the detriment of the child’s education. Parents and kids lose when this occurs along with other “give ins.” I know a case where a child lost an entire year of ABA to appease the parents as they refused ABA and only wanted a para-a new para.
