Erin: Is a general education classroom still considered to be GE if 50% classroom on an IEP?

I assume the other 50% are disadvantaged students and English learners. That’s called tracking. It sucks, but hard to do anything about.

Suggest you check your state regs – general ed and special ed. They may include a definition of GE. If you find an answer, please post it here.

Generally general/regular ed is defined by the funding used for the teacher, & the purpose of the class. A special ed class would typically be funded by special ed funds.
