Liz:  We are guardians to a 7 year old. We asked the school to tell us if he tries to run away because he has tried to run in front of cars and will pick up a behavior where he left off. He tried to run away again and they didn’t tell us. Are they obliged to tell us when he has a behavioral problem? How soon and how much detail do they need to give? We are in Texas.

  1. Liz, The school needs to communicate with you, but convincing of this may take some work. I am with the TX parent training & information project. I can put you in touch with our staff in your area. cnoe59@hotmail.com
