  1. I just had an IEP for my son and I was told that he is dyslexic. The disturbing thing was they told me there was no one qualified in the district to help him with this problem. I was also told that there are places I could pay a specialist to work with him. I have five children and do not have money to do that I thought he was supposed to get a fair free education. Is it true that they do not have to provide him with a specialist for dyslexia and that I have to pay for it out-of-pocket?
